what exactly is SLICE about?
Before we start, there are some house rules that need to be remembered.
Each product of SLICE is a unique creation that is meticulously invented to bring out a different taste and invoke different feelings upon tasting. Each product comes complete with a name and story which depicts a SLICE of everyone’s life.
- SLICE is not selling ice kachang.
- SLICE is not selling ice cream.
- SLICE is not selling yoghurt.

the story of SLICE
The Story of SLICE started out as the brainchild of 4 aspirants who became intrigued with the texture of the milky layered ice which originated in Taiwan some 30 years ago, conjuring up various ways of describing it.
“It’s like winter in your mouth!”
Then, they discovered that there is no one way of eating it, with mango, strawberries, grape, peanut, green tea, oreos...
That’s how SLICE is born, the first sliced ice dessert in Singapore to closely mimic the flavour, the taste and and most importantly the TEXTURE of this wonderful dessert from Taiwan. Conceptualized by the Architect as a boutique café gallery, this is a space of exploration, of sharing, of storytelling.
SLICE, because there’s ice in it.

we do birthdays
Yes, we cater to mini birthday celebrations or surprises for your loved ones. Just order at least one bowl of SLICE, and we will prepare something special off the menu for free. Forget about birthday cakes. However, do give us three days notice by email, so we can make sure we have the necessary ingredients.

chapter 1: fruity
The Fruity series consists of five concoctions that exploit the wonderful flavours of fruits. Summer Fling (milk ice with fresh mango cubes) is the crown jewel of SLICE and the definite crowd’s favourite for its sweet summer taste. Fans of strawberries will opt for First Kiss (milk ice with fresh strawberry cubes) for its delightful taste with a tinge of sourness. First Date combines the mystery of grape ice with aloe vera and blueberry puree. The Hot Chic boasts extravagance with milk ice, banana, topped with chocolate and caramel sauce. Last but not least, Puppy Love is a bowl of discovery with milk ice and peach cubes at the side (not shown here). You simply can’t go wrong with the Fruity Series.
chapter 2: classic
The Classic Series brings truly classic taste to the taste-buds. Holy Matrimony marries the freshness of Green Tea ice with red kidney beans for a match made in heaven. Lovers’ Tiff will appeal to customers with a preference for the special taste of black sesame. Crazy Love is an irresistible blend of peanut ice with matcha powder. Choose the Classic Series for tastes that stood the test of time.
chapter 3: special
The Special Series consists of original combinations by SLICE. Major Crush is a chocolate dream comes true with milk ice, crushed oreos and scoops of chocolate sauce. Breakfast in Bed is a depiction of true relaxation with milk ice, cornflakes and chocolate. Finally, Funny Valentine is a delectable creation of milk ice, sweet corn and caramel. The Special Series is perfect for trying something out of the ordinary.

Hello all, we are into the last phase of preparation. If nothing goes wrong, we'll have our soft opening on this friday. In the mean time, just pop by if you happen to be in town. Very likely we'll be in the shop to give you some free samples to try :)
